Places Waiting For You started with a real trip and four postcards.

While traveling in Lisbon, I bought postcards for myself and three of my friends. I wrote each one by hand, brought them with me through the city, and photographed them there before sending them home.

At the time, it was simply something personal I wanted to do.

But when I looked at the photos afterward, I realized those postcards had become more than souvenirs. Each one had physically been there. It had traveled through the city, stood in front of a place, carried someone’s name and words, and became part of a real moment.

And I thought: what if I could do this for someone else?

What if somewhere you have always dreamed about could hold your name for a moment, even before you get there?

So whenever I travel, a limited number of Places Waiting For You will travel with me too.

Your postcard won’t be ordered ahead of time or pulled from a stack at home. I’ll choose and buy your postcard when I arrive at the destination, picking one that I think beautifully represents the place we’re visiting.

Then your name and message will be added, your postcard will travel to the landmark you’ve chosen, and we’ll photograph it there before sending everything home to you.

A memory from somewhere you haven’t visited yet. A little reminder that some places are still out there.

What you’ll get

A postcard handpicked at the destination
I’ll personally choose your postcard while I’m there, so the postcard itself actually comes from the city you’re dreaming about. The exact design will be a surprise and part of the experience.

Your personalized message
Before the trip, you’ll provide the details needed for your postcard. Once I’m at the destination, I’ll write your postcard for you.

Your chosen landmark
Each travel collection will include a small selection of landmarks to choose from. Your postcard will physically come with me to the location you select.

A photo of your postcard at the actual landmark
Your personalized postcard will be photographed in front of your chosen location, with your name right there in the place you’ve been dreaming about.

An Instax-style keepsake photo (with your named postcard)
You’ll receive a physical photo capturing that moment so you can keep the image alongside your postcard.

A handwritten note from me
I’ll also add a little personal note about the trip, the place, or simply something I wanted to send home with your package to make it more memorable.

Registered mail with tracking
Your postcard and keepsake will be sent home to you using registered mail.

When to expect it

Unlike a regular online order, your Places Waiting For You package can’t be prepared until I actually get there.

Each collection is connected to a real upcoming trip and will only have a limited number of spots available.

Simply fill out the order form with your personalized message, landmark choice, and mailing information.

Then I travel.

Once I arrive, I’ll find and choose the postcards for that collection, write your message, bring your postcard to the landmark you’ve selected, and capture your photo.

After the destination experience is complete, your postcard, keepsake photo, and personal note will be prepared and sent to you by registered mail.

You’ll receive an email notification with your tracking information once your postcard leaves the country and begins its journey home to you.

International delivery times will vary depending on the destination and postal service, so your package won’t have the same delivery timeline as a regular online purchase.

Because first, it has somewhere else to be.

Your name gets there first.

And until you get there, your words can.
