Salicylic acid is also great for milder breakouts and it helps to turn over dead skin cells better. Sulfur is also great for spot treatment.
NOTE: Spot treatment means, you only put the product on the pimple itself. There are also Hydrocollo9id patches that other people have sworn worked for them. For my type of acne, the only spot treatment that helped is a 5% Benzoyl Peroxide concentration.
IMPORTANT TO NOTE: These medications will dry out your skin as they work to prevent acne growth. Be prepared for increased dryness, or opt for richer moisturizers to combat the dryness.
